Primary Objectives:

What You Can Do To Help Protect Your Home from Wildfire:
8 simple steps.....

  1. Ensure your House Number is Clear and Visible - especially at night (use at least 4” high reflective numbers) – arrange the same for community road signs.
  2. Create a lean, clean, and green 'survivable space' 30 feet around home
  3. Mature Trees limbed up to remove ladder fuels.
  4. Remove Dead Trees/Vegetation around home.
  5. Driveways: clear of flammable vegetation to 5ft and overhanging branches removed.
  6. Remove Dead Leaves/Needles from Roof / Gutters.
  7. Move combustibles(firewood/fuel tanks) to at least 30ft from structures.
  8. Tree limbs within 15ft of chimney, limbs encroaching on power lines or touching house should be removed.
